Although Caribben Jerk Cuisine, in downtown Conway, opened a few months ago, Founder and Head Chef Kamal Fraser isn't new to the area or creating flavorful dishes.
Fraser ventured out and started his own business after taking professional classes and working in some well-known hotels in Jamaica and restaurants in our area. He spent years learning and developing his craft with Angelo's Steak & Pasta in Myrtle Beach.
His business began with a food truck, at the start of the pandemic, and despite the struggling restaurant industry, he made it through and evolved his operations to include a physical building in Conway.
