Hey, it's Chelsey Rene, afternoons on EASY!
In case you missed it...
- I've discovered a few tricks to find the perfect watermelon, at least things that have worked for me so far. To find the juiciest, most flavorful watermelon:
- the dark green bands need to be two fingers width apart.
- there should be a yellow patch that indicates it was on the ground, soaking up sunshine and ripening.
- it needs to be considerably heavy for it's size, which I believe indicates a good amount of water.
- I finished The Housemaid's Secret by Frieda McFadden so quickly, it was just so good, I was finally able to get started on Horse by Geraldine Brooks, the book Mom and I chose for our club months ago. I'm only a little behind...whoops!
- We've watched some great comedians on Netflix recently including Nate Jackson: Super Funny and The Roast of Tom Brady. I don't know much about Tom Brady since I don't follow professional football, but he's earned my respect after sitting through those comedians, who did not hold back. It was great.
And since one of my New Years Resolutions is to lose 52 lbs, one pound per week, I'm going to keep track of it here, below, to hold myself more accountable.
