Don't have time to read, but you'd like bring Christmas to a local child in need? Listen to Van Roberts interview with the Salvation Army North and South Carolina Division Conway SC Corps Officer Major Darrell Kingsbury.

Ensure every child in our area experiences a magical Christmas by donating to the Salvation Army of Horry County!

During the holiday season, the busiest for them, the Salvation Army focuses on creating a merry Christmas for families in need, and they could use your help.

There's numerous ways to donate to the Salvation Army to fulfill a Christmas wish including:

The Red Kettle Campaign

When you place money in a red kettle or give on their website, you'll be helping families during the holidays and beyond. Every little bit makes a BIG difference.

They're also looking for individuals or groups to man the kettle and ring the bell at their 20 locations. Consider volunteering at a location near you.

The Angel Tree Campaign

This year, the Salvation Army has 2,200 Angels, or kids, in need. So far, only 50 have been filled! Please consider shopping for an Angel in our area. You can find Angel tags on the Salvation Army Angel Trees at area malls and local companies and organizations.

If you're unable to get out and shop, but you'd still like to purchase a gift, see the Salvation Army's Amazon or Walmart wishlist

The deadline is Thursday, December 11th.

The Empty Stocking Fund

New this year, and thanks to the Salvation Army in Florence, a very generous donor will match  donations to The Empty Stocking Fund, up to $20,000, to help the Salvation Army along the Grand Strand and in the Pee Dee region.

Your gift today, whether you donate or volunteer, will help kids and families in our area tomorrow and after the holiday season.
