Meals on Wheels of Horry & Georgetown County is doing amazing work in the area, and they need your help.
Every day they prepare large-scale meals with love and compassion to deliver to the elderly, terminally-ill and homebound they support, who they refer to as their grandparents.
In recent years, the number of people receiving their services has grown tremendously. Currently, 600 people benefit from their meals and fellowship every week, and when CEO Michael Snuggs first started in 2019, they served 65 a week!
It takes a lot of time, people and money to make it happen, and they are truly a non-profit, meaning they don't receive additional money from local, state or federal government. They rely on locals to help to accomplish their mission, through volunteerism and donations.
You can help by giving to the EASY Radio & HTC Food Drive the day before Thanksgiving at the Walmart Neighbhorhood Market at Market Common, or give your time.
